Christmas is right around the corner
I always have good intentions to get my gifts far in advance of the event, but, here I am again.... I had to make a last minute purchase of blades for my scroll saw because I can't find the batch I bought not too long ago. All I did was move all the wood working stuff into another room and set up the jewelry making table in it's place. How can anyone do that. So now, the office(which consists of the photo table, and the desk, shares space with the jewelry work space.
I recently uncovered more beads and such. Hopefully I won't find more. Things are getting more organized, anyway. And finished products (crochet, knitted items and the scroll saw occupy what was probably meant for a dining area next to the kitchen. Makes more sense and is a lot less cluttered.
All this shifting around of things also uncovered a lot more yarn. I will never in my lifetime ( maty age) use all of it. I am leaving a list for my son of who should get the boxes of material, crochet thread, picture frames, lots of wrapping paper and ribbon and other things. He and my sweet daughter in law would go nuts trying to figure it out. All boxes will be well marked. I am also getting rid of things I have not used in ages, by doing the toss, give away or keep system, Amazing what you find you can do without.
I still have some boxes in the garage, but here in Houston I only work outside when the humidity level is tolerable. My daughter in law is much more organized and probably more up to date with her 3-box system.
Since losing my husband that I adored, I have been learning how to be on my own and figure out what the new life reality is for me. I love to work in my garden, but have to figure out what it is that I touch that gives me a horrible rash.. I guess I will just spray everything that is living at the moment in the garden and hope I can kill the offending culprit. I want to be able to pick next years crop without problems.
Although I still drive during the daytime, I do not drive at not or on the highways here. Houston has a wonderful bus system set up for seniors that pick you up at your house, take you to your destination, then come back for the return trip to my home. I just go to the local Krogers to buy tickets and use them instead of having to carry cash.
Well, I think I have used up my quota of energy for the day, so I think I will, along with my two dogs, turn in for the night. Have a blessed good peaceful rest.
But not before I get a tiny dish of delicious chocolate ice cream. 'Til next time.
