Where have you been?

Well, here I am again . I have missed writing you and working on my crafts. My husband got progressively in ill health, then Covid hit him and I lost him.  So this begins a new experience in my life. My dog, Miss Libby, and I will be moving to Houston and be close to my son and his family.  I can't sit still very long, but John and I spent 20 years in this house. Now I am sorting through things and deciding what gets saved, tossed or donated.

The first load of my stuff is in Houston and will be unloaded into a cute little house soon. It's got more room than I have here and is really close to family (only 5 minutes or so). Look forward to having youngest grandchild, age 11, and her cousin over for craft time. That means crochet, knit, painting, sewing, and more. Hopefully it means sleepovers and lots of fun.

But with Covid, I'm checking out jobs I can do from home.  There are so many choices. One option I am going to offer a friend is to test market his fantastic pop art paintings on my site. I can write the short scripts and offer them as digital download items. No shipping, just watching the money come in. I am doing research to see how I would log in to his web page and do the work there. Then he will have automatic money going into his account and he will pay me to create the listing. He is a good photographer, so he can take shots of the paintings. Since they are digital downloads, there is no shipping to deal with.

Back to my new place. Miss Libby will have her play yard and hopefully I can figure out an easy way to get her a doggy door. I haven't really seen the house, except in photos on the internet.  No carpet. I guess that means I just attach the dust mop head to Libby's tail and she does the cleaning. There is a giant magnolia tree in the front yard and I plan to have a small garden next spring. I love spring onions, fresh tomatoes, okra, dark green lettuce, cucumbers, maybe watermelon, mint.

It will be interesting to see if former home owner planted any bulbs. Not too late for me to plant something. I might take some iris from this house. I also have the purple wandering jew and some ivy. My garden tools are in the trailer that will be delivered to the house soon.

My son tells me that there is a pull-down stairway to the attic. That's important, because the furnace is in the attic and gas company won't go up until the stairway is replaced.  Somehow a bunch of the steps were broken. Darn those little red tags. He wanted to know if I wanted a hot shower once in a while, too. Ha, Ha. Gotta check out the water heater.

I am so excited about this new chapter in my life. I enjoyed 36 years of wonderful marriage to the love of my life. Several years of health dwindled from walking tall (6 foot 6) to a wheelchair. John loved the Lord and is now walking tall again on the streets of gold and someday we will meet again.

I pray for a happy and blessed life for each of you that read this post.
