Muggy weather, that's Houston for you.

 No breeze and very muggy tonight. Went several nights without the AC. Not sure I can do without it tonight

Got about half the garden cleared today, getting ready for the spring crop. Need to make markers and then put in the marker lines eventually. Then finish putting up the privacy screen the house.

I printed up some "pocket hugs" which I hope to put on Marketplace on Facebook. Haven't  tried that yet,so I gotta figure out how to do that.


Christmas will be here awfully fast, gotta get moving.   In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving.


Got a few patterns ready to paste on wood to make Christmas gifts. Maybe that will happen tomorrow. My

Setting up webpage on Etsy

 O h, wow, I just had an idea that I will try.  I know that some of you want to sell things on Etsy, but you dont know how to put in the listing or want to know. I enjoy that part. A friend has done some beautiful paintings that he wants to sell digital prints of. So he is going to take the pictures and give me an idea of what he wants to call the picture. Then I will start an Etsy site for him as Site Administrator, he pays me a fee for setting it up and he collects the rest.  More details in the near future. Where have you been?

 Well, here I am again . I have missed writing you and working on my crafts. My husband got progressively in ill health, then Covid hit him and I lost him.  So this begins a new experience in my life. My dog, Miss Libby, and I will be moving to Houston and be close to my son and his family.  I can't sit still very long, but John and I spent 20 years in this house. Now I am sorting through things and deciding what gets saved,tossed or donated. The first load of my stuff is in Houston and will be unloaded into a cute little house soon. It's got more room than I have here and is really close to family (only 5 minutes or so). Look forward to having youngest grandchild, age 11, and her cousin over for craft time. That means crochet, knit, painting, sewing, and more. Hopefully it means sleepovers and lots of fun.  But with Covid, I'm checking out jobs I can do from home.  There are so many choices.  What a wonderful week ahead, it's going to really rain all week.  The flower beds and veggie garden are going to love it.  On the other side of the iron fence is a retention pond.  When it pours, water can't soak into the ground or run down drains fast enough. So there is a wide pond that will take the runoff and drain into a very large drain pipe.  Once it rained a couple of hours today, the area was filled with a strange buzzing noise.  I am guessing it's frogs, but I guess I need to do some checking.  It's like living in a small swamp area in a Louisiana bayou.  The water may all be gone by morning. I love to hear the throbbing sound produced by the creatures, like hearing a soft rain or far away rumbling that can put you to sleep. The storm made several large crashing sounds this afternoon, sounding as though all the walls of the house would come tumbling down.  The resounding crashes were all too near my home.  Tomorrow I have to g...
